Here are 148 photos from our 2024 "Native Voices of Loudoun" Exhibit held at the Plaster Museum of Bluemont Heritage located inside the E.E. Lake Store in Bluemont Va. Tours began in January and end Nov. 2, 2024.

Cherokee Author Holds Hugely Successful Book Signing at Indigenous Museum Exhibit in Bluemont Va.

Yesterday, 35 visitors attended the book signing event by guest author Matthew "Maasaw" Howard (Cherokee). This event is part of the Plaster Museum of Bluemont Heritage Native Voices of Loudoun County Virginia: Past and Present Exhibit that is open on Sundays until October 2024.

Next Book Signing by Massaw is Sunday, Sept. 1. 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. ​Meanwhile, other museum Guided and Self-Guided Tour Days are available every Sunday from noon to 3:00 p.m. until October 2024.

Onlookers listened for hours about archeology, spirituality, first foods, fishing weirs and much more.
Maasaw shared about his books, discoveries, and projects involving protecting Indigenous fishing weirs in the Potomac River. He also talked about his spiritual calling that has led him to identify 35 Indigenous sites from Virginia to Canada. Join us in September when Maasaw returns for one final book signing at The Plaster Museum in Historical Bluemont Va.
